Lady in a Fur Coat (or Lady for short) was a stray cat who was helped by the Dane County Humane Society after they figured out the kitten suffered from multiple medical issues. Sadly, shortly after she was taken in, she had to get her ear flaps removed due to severe chronic infections and hematomas.
Thankfully, a staff member of the Dane County Humane Society crocheted a bonnet in the shape of cat ears and gave it to her to replace her lost ears. Lady looked very charming with her new pair of ears, and she loved the gift.
The organization then shared Lady’s story on Facebook in hopes of finding her a forever home. The post quickly went viral, and people on the Internet fell in love with her instantly. Amazingly, less than 24 hours after sharing the story, Lady got adopted by a kind-hearted owner.

After a few weeks of being in the organization, she was taken care of by staff and soon found a new pair of ears and her perfect match—a forever home and a good human who would give her tons of care and a heart full of love.
Despite losing her ears, Lady can hear clearly, and she is still a very happy and sweet cat. She loves to give sweet head bumps and cuddles to everyone she meets.
Take a look at Lady’s new pair of ears below, and don’t forget to follow the Dane County Humane Society on Facebook to support their cause.
If you love Lady and her story, please share this post with everyone!
