In 2017, Kirill Georgiev was sitting in his office. Suddenly he saw a little kitten wandered into the office. The kitten walked right up to Georgiev and jumped right into his lap. She put her paw on Georgiev’s chest and looked into his eyes. Georgiev immediately fell in love with her, and it was clear she loved him too. The cat had clearly decided Georgiev was her new dad. At that moment, Georgiev decided to take the kitten home with him and she quickly became a member of his family. He calls her Koshka, which is the Russian word for cat. Now Koshka and Georgiev are still as happy as can be together.
In mid-July 2018, history repeated itself for Georgiev. Koshka chose her dad the day she wandered into his office, and a stray dog decided to do exactly the same thing. Georgiev arrived at his office one morning and found the stray dog sitting in front of the building. The poor dog was incredibly dirty and hungry, but otherwise seemed to be fine. Like Koshka, the puppy decided that Georgiev was her dad and he realized he was now a dog dad, too. He decided to name her Jessie, and took her home with him.
When he got home, Georgiev introduced Jessie to Koshka. Thankfully, the cat and puppy got along well. Koshka was happy to play with the new puppy. Now, Koshka and Jessie have both settled in, and they’ve learned to share their chosen dad.
