Avery Shrader has a tortoiseshell cat named Lion. The cat’s fur is a perfect fall-colored mix of black, orange and red, with a little splash of white. Shrader loves Lion, so she always gives her cat the best things to make sure her life happy.
One day, when Shrader was raking leaves in her yard when she came up with a fun idea. She made a big pile of leaves in her garden and let her cat out to explore it. Lion loves leaves, so when seeing the pile of leaves, she jumped into it immediately.
“She loved it!” Shrader said. “She took a really nice nap.”
Shrader was so happy, so she took a photo of Lion rolling in the leaves and went back to her work. But when she looked at the photo later that day, she couldn’t find Lion in the photo — and neither could anyone else.
“Most people I showed couldn’t find her since she blends right in,” Shrader said. “Even my dog couldn’t sniff her out when they were playing in the leaves together!”
Can you spot her?
Trust us, she’s definitely in there. Her mottled coat perfectly resembles the colors of the autumn leaves – allowing Lion to practically disappear in the photo.
Still can’t find her? Don’t worry, your eyes aren’t deceiving you — she is in there. Lion is highlighted in the photo below:
Turns out, Lion was in the center of the pile of leaves.
Lion knows exactly how to use her camouflage ability to her advantage. But when Lion is home, she does not like being ignored. “Lion’s favorite hobby is … laying on the stairs so she can bite you when you step on her,” Shrader said. “She also likes hissing at my other pets for fun.”
That took us longer than I’d like to admit! How about you? If you love this photo, share it with your friends to see if they can find the sneaky cat. Don’t forget to let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
