Recently, Heather Parry decided to take up an instrument that could help her build confidence and enhance memory, and she chose the piano. This instrument is easy to learn but incredibly hard to master. So, it takes plenty of time and dedication to perfect. However, when Parry signed up for piano lessons, she ran into an adorable little impediment to her progress.

Meet Jasper, the pet cat of Parry’s new piano teacher, Laura Elliott. He is an adorable cat who adores attention, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to get it.

Parry is a cat lover, so the fact that a cute cat was there to greet her when she arrived for the first lesson was a wonderful thing. “I was in love pretty much immediately,” Parry told The Dodo.

Jasper loves to interrupt Parry’s lesson because he is lured by the tinkling of piano keys. But Parry’s not the only student to be distracted by the sweet cat.

“Today he was outside in the front garden but plopped in through the highest window when he heard me playing,” Parry said.
Though Jasper may slow lessons down at times, he gets plenty of pets from students. They appear to have become accustomed to his interruptions during class, and they realize that Jasper makes their day much better.

“This is a huge bonus,” Parry said, “and means I can now never give up piano lessons.”
