25-Pound Hairless Cat Worked Hard For Losing Weight – And Look At Him Now

This is Boo, an adorable hairless elf cat who got to weigh a whopping 25 pounds—about three times what his breed is supposed to. At first, he was also body-in-shape like any other hairless cat, but everything changed when his family realized that their children were allergic to him.

In order to keep the children safe, the family put him in a separate part of the house, and his only comfort was his food. For this reason, Boo became a chubby cat, and of course, his health was not good.

After that, the family had another baby, so they decided to give him up. Thankfully, he found a perfect family who loved him and helped him get trim and healthy again.

“At his old home, he was kept in a room with food down 24/7 with little interaction,” Courtney Haney, Boo’s rescuer, said. “Once we took him in, we put him on a feeding schedule of two wet foods a day and some dry mixed in throughout the day.”

In his new family, Boo met another hairless cat called Lamb, and they became best friends. Lamb and the family even helped Boo exercise and played with him every day.

The family also adopted a rescue dog named Penny Lane. The dog and the cat, Boo quickly become partners in crime, and they’ll help each other steal food off the counter.

After settling in his new house, Boo started shedding the pounds. With the help of Lamb, Penny Lane, and his family, Boo lost over 8 pounds, and now he’s been able to stay that way with his daily activity and feeding schedule.

Although he won at weight-loss challenge, that doesn’t mean his enthusiasm for food is any less strong. “He still loves food,” Haney said. “He’ll … use his huge paws to open the dog treat containers and run off with biscuits.”
