Rescue Cat Was So Excited His Mom Made Him Playhouse

Gandalf was given up by his family at age 4 because his parents got divorced. They felt they couldn’t care for him anymore and he was taken in by a foster family. After that a woman who lived on his street offered to adopt him. “I felt deep for him because just that fall my own parents had just separated,” Melissa Losier, Gandalf’s new mom, told The Dodo. “I needed him just as much as he needed me.”

Gandalf moved into his new home, he follows his mommy around all day and loves to cuddle with her. But for some reason, she doesn’t like to play with toys. So she decided that she’d try to get him interested in toys.
Loiser started searching cat houses on YouTube and found an easy design. Four hours later, she created a lovely cat house. She set up the house and outfited it with some comfy blankets and presented it to Gandalf. He really loved it and Losier was very happy.

Now Gandalf spends hours just snoozing away in his little cat house, which is the closest thing he has to a toy. “A simple box may have done just the same, but why not make it cute, right?” Losier said.

Gandalf is a very chill guy and very well-mannered.

It may not be a traditional “toy,” but it’s his favorite place to play and nap …

… and he seems so grateful that his mom took the time to make such a wonderful hideaway for him.
