Pit Bull Always Follows Her Grandma To Make Sure She Is Safe

This is Lollipop, a pit bulldog who had lived as a stray for several years. Some workers at a car wash spotted the poor dog, so they tied her up to prevent her from running into the nearby busy road. The kind workers took care of her, and played with her all day, and they loved the sweet Lollipop.

One day, a woman named Cathy Officee stopped by the car wash, and she saw Lollipop the dog. She went over to pet her and asked about her. The pit bull’s foster explained that she appeared to be abandoned or lost, so Officee offered to take her home.

Officee used microchip technology and posted Lollipop’s information on the Internet to help her return home. However, she had no one looking for her, so Officee adopted her into her family.

“By the end of five days I was SO in love with her I was happy no one claimed her and there wasn’t any question of me finding her a family,” Officee told The Dodo.

Lollipop is now 3 years old, and she loves her family so much. She even becomes the protector of her 90-year-old grandma, who has to use a walker to get around. For this reason, whenever her grandma is up and walking around, Lollipop is right there beside her to make sure she is safe.

“We can’t decide if Lolli wants her to go back and sit down or if she’s standing ready in case Mom falls,” Officee said.

“Mom has three dogs and I have two so there is always a dog milling around,” Officee said. “Lollipop is the only one who gets in Mom’s way.”
