This is the heartbreaking moment when a heartless owner threw their kitten out a car window onto a highway in Wales, UK. Thankfully, a woman spotted the cat and came to save her.
The woman said that she was driving when she suddenly saw a passing car threw something onto the road in front of her. She immediately stopped her car and ran into the road to investigate. She was shocked when seeing a tiny kitten lying in the middle of the road, completely helpless and confused.
The woman immediately picked the kitten up, brought her back to her car and contacted the RSPCA to report the incident. The kitten was quickly taken to a nearby vet to check out. Luckily, the kitten was not injured after being tossed out of the car.
The kitten is now taken in by a volunteer foster from Cats Protection’s Gwent Branch. Now, she could relax and be loved until she grows strong enough to find her forever home.
“We’re very grateful to those who managed to safely stop when this happened and help this poor kitten,” David Milborrow, an inspector with the RSPCA, said in a press release. “It was remarkable that this kitten survived this shocking incident without injury.”
The RSPCA is actively investigating the incident because whoever did this is held responsible. They have urged for anyone with any information to contact their inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
“We believe that the cat may have come from a grey car which may have been a Fiat,” Milborrow said. “We’re now appealing to any other drivers who may have seen this happen. There was a red Mazda car who also stopped and we’d really like to speak to them to see what they witnessed.”
