Anthony Rogers is an artist from Tennessee who has fallen on hard times and is currently homeless in the Memphis area. Though homeless and struggling, he is so happy because he has a dog named Bobo sticking loyally by his side. Rogers does everything he can to ensure the dog is cared and loved. They love each other and share an inseparable bond.
Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, his beloved dog Bobo had gone missing, and he was despondent. He immediately contacted friends to help him look for the dog and put up flyers in the area in hopes someone would spot him. But as the days went by, he became afraid and thought that he might never see Bobo again.
Last week, however, an employee at Memphis Animal Services who’d seen the flyers noticed a newly-arrived pup looked like the missing dog. She immediately called the number on the lost poster to contact Rogers.
When Rogers went to check, he couldn’t have been happier to be met Bobo again. “Bobo could not contain his happiness at seeing his dad again,” the shelter wrote on Facebook. He ran into Rogers’ arms and excitedly jumped up all over him, with his tail wagging furiously.
The pair shared a heartwarming reunion that will touch your heart. See the video here:
💙 TEARJERKER REUNION ALERT 💙Anthony is an artist who found himself homeless after some devastating events in his life. He doesn’t have a place to live, and he doesn’t always have food to eat. But he has a best friend, a sweet dog named Bobo. And he always makes sure Bobo has enough to eat. A couple weeks ago, Anthony woke up to find Bobo was gone. He was distressed and immediately contacted friends to help him look for Bobo. They made signs and put them all over town. They talked to the people who knew Anthony and Bobo. When a dog matching Bobo’s description showed up at MAS yesterday, one of our employees, Emily, recognized Bobo immediately! She called the number on the LOST poster, and Anthony’s friend gave him a ride to the shelter within minutes to see Bobo again. Their reunion was pure joy. Bobo could not contain his happiness at seeing his dad again. Today Bobo got neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and we found out he was heartworm negative. We sent him back to Anthony with a year’s supply of heartworm prevention, a bag of dog food, and a harness, leash, collar, and ID tag. Bobo is healthy and happy, but he needs to keep going to the vet every year to stay that way. If you’d like to donate toward his continued care at Utopia Animal Hospital so that’s one less thing Anthony has to worry about, call 901-746-8758.Music: Dreamcatcher from https://www.purple-planet.comhttps://www.gofundme.com/f/help-anthony-and-bobo-get-back-on-their-feet

Rogers is still homeless, but we believe that he will be taking care of his beloved dog and providing everything he needs. He might not have much in terms of material possessions, but he is very rich when it comes to love in his life. Thankfully, a local animal hospital will accept donations for Bobo’s future care. We hope that he will be able to get more help he needs in the future.
