Eric Hertlein’s grandma is an animal lover. She loves to take care of stray cats at her home in Kansas. She lets them live on her enclosed porch with beds and food. So, whenever Eric went to visit her, he always expected to see stray cats on her front porch. However, this time, he spotted that one of the kitties looked weird and was not like the others. It wasn’t a cat; it was an opossum.
His grandma didn’t realize it wasn’t a cat until he started pointing out the pointy nose and skinny tail. She even named him Tete, and though she was a bit shocked about Tete, she didn’t mind at all. “Well, he hasn’t bothered me yet, so I’m OK with him being here!” she said with the biggest grin on her face.
