Benny was a little dog who had been staying at the Carson Animal Care Center in Gardena, California since November. At only eight months old, he wound up at the shelter, and like many other dogs, was waiting for one of the two things to happen: to be adopted or to be euthanized.
He was listed in the death row at the shelter. Before he was going to become another victim of the overcrowding problem, however, a family came in and made his Christmas wish come true!
There are many other dogs looking to have their holiday wish come true just like Benny. If you are thinking of adding a dog to the family, we urge you not to shop, but to adopt. Contact your local shelters, Humane Society chapters, ASPCAs and city pounds and find out what the adoption procedure is, go in, and get the best friend that every family needs.
