In August 2018, a little black-and-white kitten named Karma was dropped off at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. All of the staff were shocked to see that the kitten’s ears and part of her tail had been cut off. The little kitten was scared of everyone and everything, and she wouldn’t let anyone touch her.
To help Karma cope with her traumatic past and prepare her for a brighter future, she was placed with a foster family, whom she can learn to trust again. Karma headed to her new foster home, where she slowly started to come out of her shell. Karma’s foster mom quickly realized the little kitten loved toys. And so, she used toys to bond with Karma. The two played for hours, and Karma loved every second of it. Karma’s kindhearted foster mom also decided she wanted to give the cat a very special set of new ears. She knitted a new set of ears for Karma, and the kitten loved them!
Karma is now in a wonderful home with a set of ears that were made for her with love. The former stray kitten soon found what she needed most—a family to call her own. We’re so happy this sweet cat’s story has such a great happy ending!
