A black cat ran across the field during Sunday afternoon’s rugby league clash between the Penrith Panthers and Cronulla Sharks and the sight was no less than majestic.
The pacey feline bolted onto the field. He rushed through the Pepper Stadium back as fans cheered it. He proved to be a bad omen for Penrith. The short interruption did little to distract an under-strength Sharks outfit who surged through to record 13 straight wins on the trot, disposing of the Panthers comfortably at 26-10.
