Meet ten-year-old Bella, who lives with owner Shawn Bell in Vancouver. Bella loves being outdoors, and she typically spends her nights roaming around the neighborhood. Bella is an amazing cat, except she has a small problem. She is a literal cat burglar and is addicted to stealing random people’s clothes.
One morning, Bella’s owner found a strange pair of socks in his yard. He didn’t think anything of it at first; he tossed the old socks to the side, forgetting about them, but then the clothes kept coming. The next day, Bella brought home more socks, then a shirt, then a child’s painting, and then some more shirts.
The stealing continued and got worse. Bella doesn’t know exactly what she’s doing to her victims, but his owner feels bad for them. The amount of clothing Bella has stolen is out of control. Most of Shawn’s neighbors are aware of Bella’s antics, but they still hang their clothes in their yard. Some people even seem to be ‘trolling’ Bella now, like this neighbor who put out a shirt with a dog on it.
Shawn leaves all the clothes in his yard for people to reclaim. Shawn still loves Bella, even if she doesn’t always behave well. We hope that the pieces of clothing find their way back to their original owners!
