Many dogs are visual learners. They love seeing their parents doing anything and imitate it. They find it easier to learn and do something that they have never tried before. The rescue dog in this story shares the same. He patiently waits for his dad to show him how to jump into the truck. What a good boy!
This dog is Dudeson. He was adopted by Weston Mackey from Paw Works in California two weeks ago. The two have built a strong bond, becoming good friends.
Dudeson seems to enjoy living in his new home. “He is a very happy boy, loving and already loyal with eagerness to learn,” Mackey told the media.
But there is something that the adorable furry friend is scared of. He wasn’t a fan of his dad’s truck. Jumping into it is always a trouble for the boy. He needs to wait for his dad to instruct him to do it.
And Mackey takes matters into his own hand. He sat Dudeson down near his truck to see what he demonstrated. He crouched down and then showed Dudeson how to get into the truck. He repeated twice.
“He hated getting into my truck, he would [say] nope and stiff those front legs when I got him near the truck door,” Mackey said.
When it was Dudeson’s turn, he was a little hesitant at first. But ultimately, he himself hopped up into the truck on his own. Even though the boy was still clumsy, he won himself.
Mackey even had to show his dog how to use the stairs properly, going down them on all fours. After that, he realizes that Dudeson is a visual learner. He prefers having someone to instruct him to do something new.
Thanks to the love and help of his dad, Dudeson finally overcomes his challenges. This is good news as it makes him and his dad understand each other better.
