The Cat With The “Ugliest Sleeping Face In Japan”

This is Setsu-chan, owned by Japanese illustrator Mino. The little guy sure is cute when he’s awake. But when he dozes off, he sure is fugly. During his waking hours, he is a stunner with pure white fur and hypnotizing baby blues. But when he falls asleep, things go from cute to adorably awkward. The feline’s sleeping face looks like a zombie’s face.

The silly sleeper first caught the Internet’s attention when his owner started posting pictures of the cat on Twitter. Setsu-chan was even featured on Japanese television and appeared in a book with the title The Most Awful Sleeping Face in Japan: The Unparallelled Beautiful Cat Setsu-chan. It is expected to become a set text in veterinary studies all over the world.

You can find some more Setsu-chan pictures and information about the book on Mino’s Twitter page. Scroll down to enjoy it and share it with your friends and family members!
