30 Times Cats Found Catnip, And Their Functions Stopped Working

McConnell is a 50-year-old photographer who loves to capture cats. He has been photographing feline friends since he got his first camera when he was a ten-year-old boy. He now has two cats named Melchett and Gertrude, who had their eyes removed due to cataracts.

When asked the reason why he loved taking photos of cats, he shared, “They are fascinating to photograph as they always do their own thing and are impossible to predict, so they always provide a challenge to photograph successfully.”

Melchett loves catnip, so McConnell loves photographing him and his neighbor’s cats, Benji, Tommy, and Bob, who often visit to “borrow” some nip. Catnip is the magical dust that turns these feline friends into wild jungle cats as soon as they get a whiff of it.

“All our cats have been named after characters and animals in the TV show Blackadder, including Edmund, Baldrick, Bubbles, Turnip, Percy, Meg, Mrs. Miggins, and Mildred. Some of our cats have come from rescue centers, but many have just appeared at the door, hoping to be fed, and have stayed with us for years,” he said.
