Thanksgiving is a public holiday that began as a harvest festival. The USA isn’t the only nation to mark Thanksgiving celebrations; Canada, Puerto Rico, Grenada, and Liberia do so too. In America, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, so this year it will be on November 22, 2018. It is usually followed the day after by the world’s most frantic shopping day, known as Black Friday. In Canada, the national holiday takes place on the second Monday of October.
Thanksgiving is now celebrated every year and, along with Christmas and the New Year, is part of the broader “holiday season.” If you are feeling stressed this holiday season, this collection of pets stuffed into Thanksgiving costumes and animals who are trying their hardest not to eat the Thanksgiving turkey will get you into the holiday spirit.
Here is a list of adorable animals dressed up and ready to go for Thanksgiving—cute cats and dogs in turkey and pilgrim costumes. Scroll down to view 40 cats and dogs graciously not ripping these costumes to shreds before the photos could be taken. Truly, we have much to be thankful for this year.
