Sweet Dog Saves Tiny Abandoned Kitten And Brings Her Home In The Pouring Rain

Hazel is a Yorkie, Chihuahua, and Poodle mix, who lives in Abilene, Texas, with her beloved mom, Monica Burks. Hazel loves Monica and always surprises her with her actions. And recently, the dog surprised her mom by bringing home an abandoned kitten.

Everything happened when Monica let Hazel outside for her bathroom break. However, the dog did not come back quickly from her potty break. For this reason, Monica peered outdoors to see where her dog had gotten to, and she noticed Hazel returning with a new friend.

Hazel found the cat abandoned on the road, so he rescued the tiny stray kitten by coaxing it into following her home in the heavy downpour. Each time the kitten hesitated and stopped in her tracks, Hazel encouraged the kitten to keep following her. Despite the downpour, she refused to leave and was determined to lead the cat back home.

Monica said she couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her dog helping out the stray kitten during the pouring rain. For this reason, she quickly recorded the priceless moment on the camera and shared it on social media.

“Hey, buddy! You can come home with me, where the humans will get you warm and make sure you have plenty of food and love. And of course, you will get all the belly scratches you want,” an Internet user commented.

Watch the sweet story in the video below:

As you can see in the video, after several attempts to coax, Hazel was finally able to bring the kitten to her doorstep. When the kitten couldn’t make it up the stairs into their home, Hazel picked her up in her mouth and helped her inside.

Since being rescued, the kitten has been given the name Sheba and has been adopted by Monica’s brother, Michael. Now, she is enjoying her happy life with her new owner. Sometimes, Michael takes Sheba to Monica’s house to meet her best friend, Hazel.
